Become a Team Captain – Some suggestions

You may want to walk in memory of a U.S Serviceman or women who lost their life in Iraq or Afghanistan in service to our country. The U.S. Service members who have sacrificed their lives must not be forgotten. If you’d like email me a narrative telling me about the service member you have chosen to remember- share your story and help keep his/her memory alive- you may also send a photo. I will post it on the Walk in Honor Of page.

Walk in honor of a U.S. Serviceman or women who is currently serving or who has previously served in Iraq or Afghanistan. Let them know you honor their service. Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan have given their time, perhaps served multiple deployments, and have risked their lives serving and deserve the respect and honor for all they have sacrificed in terms of spending sometimes years away from family and friends. Let them know you appreciate their service. Send me a narrative of who will be walking in honor of along with a photo and I will post on the Walk in Honor Of page.

Or walk because you are care! – Perhaps your life has not been directly affected by loss or you do not personally know of a Veteran or service member currently serving.  Become a Team Captain and help support your fellow community members. We as a Nation must never forget the sacrifices our military make and have made. Let others know that you will do your part–Let them know you Remember.

Next go to the Pay Pal donate button and make the first donation for your team. Encourage your team walkers to do the same. There is no registration fee however this is a fundraiser for Remembrance-your team’s donation will help keep Remembrance moving and in turn honor and remember all who have given their lives thus far. All donations are appreciated-no donation is too small. 

Start a virtual team -Even though the walk is happening in New England and you may not be able to attend, you can still be a team captain, join a team, or donate to a team. Remembrance represents and honors all U.S. servicemen and women from across our country who have lost their lives in Iraq or Afghanistan as well as those who continue to serve.  Perhaps you know of a loved one serving from your family, community or state that you would like to walk in honor of but distance prevents you from doing so.

Or you may want to create a team in memory of a loved one who has sacrificed their life in service to our country in the current wars. You can become a team captain or “walk” as an individual in remembrance of your loved one. If you choose to do so you may send a photo and narrative to me and I will post it on the In Honor/Memory Of page.
